The Sun's Glorious Return

Well I was woken early this morning by the bright sunshine streaming in my window. Hooray! The sun has returned and with it more photography options. Can't wait to see what I get.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

So it's been raining here for three days, yuck. I'm sick of rain, I want the sun to come back and make the puddles go away. I want the logs in our yard to bake in the afternoon sun and dry out so we can do another fire. Wet logs do not make for good fire.

You won't being seeing much of me until the sun comes back to play.

Sparklers

Since Ed dug out a fire pit and finished it with stones, we've been having many a fire at night. What better place than around the camp fire to play with sparklers? So I whipped out my camera, which is never far from hand, and started snapping photos. Here are some of my favorites from the hundred some odd photos I took last night.


I think they look like wings.

Fail

I totally fail at updating this... sorry. I was a little busy, I just got married. Could not be happier. Loving life with my new husband so much. Anyway, here are some pictures that I've taken since the last time I posted.

In other photo news, the photographer that did our wedding should be calling this week to give me an update about the photos. We're also scheduling another shoot to happen here at our house. When Bob showed up the day of the wedding his first words were, "This is where you live?" Needless to say he likes it! He'll be coming back out soon I hope.

I'll try to be better about updating this, it will be easier during the summer when I'm outside with my camera way more often. Speaking of, cruise in July, two weeks, so that will be a big entry.

Cherry Passion Tic Tac

Some more photography for you. Still way too cold to go out and nothing interesting has caught my eye inside. I despise this cold weather. So in the spirit of warm climates, here's a Flamingo from Bermuda.

Wedding Detail

I went to Michael's Art n Crafts today and bought a tiny square picture frame charm. I strung some white glass beads and some magenta Sworovski crystals and then simple tiny pearl seed beads. It's going to be pinned to my bouquet and hang round the stems in the from. The frame has a tiny picture of my Grandmother, who I was named after. I don't have a photo right now, but I'll post one soon.

Farewell Friend

A marvelous cat named Sampson died today. He was the friendliest cat I have ever met. Goodbye to a good friend, pet, and kitten.

Unfortunately I have no pictures of Sampson.

Instead, here is a photo of my younger girl kitten, Pip.

Cold & Cloudy

I want to take my camera up to Castle Craig at Hubbard park, but it's far too cold for me. Not to mention it's terribly cloudy today and has been/will be for a while still.

Soon as the weather starts to come back round towards spring I'm going to head up and take a series of photos and stitch them together on my computer to make amazing panoramic. I figure I should practice the technique before our trip next summer. I'm sure I'll be taking many land, water, and sky scapes.

A Photography Blog

I figured this was a great way for me to keep my photography as a more daily part of my life.

So I was looking for a wedding photographer tonight, and as I was looking through some destination photos. I had an idea. Ed and I are taking a cross country trip next summer, sort of a one year anniversary celebration. Well my idea was to take my wedding dress along with us and take self portraits in front of epic landscapes and famous locations. Just picture it, me in my gown on the edge of the Grand Canyon at sunset! How perfect.

This blog is to help me keep up with my photography and maybe even help get my name and work out there.
